It's about this time that I realize that I need to focus on and be thankful for the grace I do see in their lives - the kindnesses, the opportunities they've taken to serve someone other than themselves, or the growths in godliness. Because it is there, really - I just need the eyes to see and celebrate...
- Anna and Ellie caring for Noah when he fell off his bike
- Abi putting away Ellie's clean clothes
- Noah offering to help with chores
- Abi helping Anna with her piano music
- All being quick to hug and play with Dan
- Anna changing a dirty diaper
- Abi helping Ellie in the shower
- Ellie cheerfully doing her chores.
How has your child unexpectedly blessed you this week?

Seeing the boys care and thing about their little sis. Bring pillows to the couch to make her "cozy" and share their snack. Just sweet ways of how they show her love.
boy, Kelly, do I need to hear this every day. I commented to LA yesterday that I feel exasperated by the kids all the time. They fight like nutso and complain and argue w/ me, etc. But, you are so right; there are evidences of grace if I would take the time to look for them and give thanks for them.
Right now, in fact, they've all been down the basement for quite a while playing rather nicely with each other building tracks.
And, my boys got up and did their chores this a.m. without being asked!!!
Bri, I don't know that my kids have ever done their chores without being reminded - that's wonderful!
