We have some new photos up in the dining room. They're not really new - I gave the prints to Toby for Christmas - it's just taken this long to get frames and hang them up. We're kinda slow around here...
First, we have the Eye of God Nebula. So cool.
Next, a crescent Earth.
Finally, the Eskimo Nebula.
By the way, it was surprisingly difficult to get decent shots, due to glare and flash and reflection. And my substandard camera.
In other news, I got to hear the baby's heartbeat this morning. Never ceases to be a thrill.

They look to be remarkably good shots given how far away the nebulae are and the costs of getting into space to see a crescent earth...
If you're going to take more photos of His wonderful creation, maybe a better camera?

Nice. My brother's bedroom growing up was decorated with pics simular to these. Mostly ones taken by the Hubble, since our Dad had worked on the lenses for the Hubble.
My dad loved anything outerspace - some children beg for a telescope, however not us. We hated being drug out in the cold to witness Venus's close orbit to Earth, or the latest Meteor shower...ha!
Mel, you have a very cool dad. For real.
